Active Learning & Development (ALD) provides a range of management, leadership and skills programmes that can be linked to nationally recognised qualifications. All programmes are tailored to individual client organisations. ALD specialise in developing those areas of commercial operations that have the greatest impact on results. We believe in a partnership approach with client organisations where development is integrated with practical work-based application, supported by immediate management and designed to reflect organisational values, terminology and typical scenarios. Time is spent with the client prior to the start of any programme understanding the culture, operation and success drivers of the organisation.
We are also an awarding centre for BTEC/Edexcel and ILM - L3 to L7.

FirstGroup plc - UK Bus Division
First UK Bus needed their supervisors and managers to improve their leadershp and management skills. Programmes were run at different levels specifically tailored to meet the needs of the business. Over 1200 managers completed a qualification and project giving the organisation a tangible ROI.
Wiltshire Fire & Rescue
Wiltshire Fire & Rescue identified a need to develop middle managers in line with the public sector guidelines for the service. ALD designed a Level 5 Certificate in Management Studies Programme - delegates completed assignments and a project to reinforce learning and bring organisational benefits.
Praxair Surface Technologies
Praxair's team leaders and managers are promoted within the company due to their technical skills but there was a need to add leadership and management skills. Short modules are run across a nine month period and delegates complete a work-based project resulting in self and business improvements.
